A hat trick from record signing -Ricardo Goulart held off defending champions Western Sydney Wanderers and gave Guangzhou Evergrande a 3-2 win in the Asian Champions League (ACL) on Wednesday in Sydney.

Goulart was the difference for new boss Fabio Cannavaro's big-spending Chinese Super League champions Alex Pietrangelo Jersey , who looked set for a comfortable win with a 3-1 lead and 25 minutes left.
